Long Island Iced Cherry Tea

A Long Island Iced Tea is my favourite cocktail. It’s made with 5 different alcohols and topped up with cola, so it’s a long drink as it really packs a punch. There are many different variances on the basic Long Island Iced Tea, and this is mine.

Cherry Coke is synonymous with Christmas for me. When I was a child, It was the only time my parents would buy it, and if they were in a particularly good mood, they’d let me have a couple of glace cherries in the bottom of my glass for an extra sweet cherry treat. So my version of the world famous cocktail is unmistakably festive for me, as I’ve used Chambord and Cherry Coke instead of the usual Cointreau regular cola.

It’s really easy to make, doesn’t require a cocktail shaker or any other apparatus, and tastes fantastic. You can also make up a big batch of the alcohol mix to serve at parties, then just top up peoples drinks half and half with the alcoholic mix and Cherry Coke.

Enjoy! Merry Christmas everyone.
